Children’s maxillary orthopedics or interceptive orthodontics is a treatment that is applied to boys or girls between 6-10 years of age to correct and direct the growth of the maxillary bones when there are malocclusions that impair the function and appearance of the teeth.

In this case, we observed an 8-year-old patient who came due to the protrusion of the maxillary teeth that favored the interposition of the lower lip in the space between the upper and lower teeth, which aggravated the situation and made it difficult for the patient to swallow. The treatment was carried out using removable orthodontic appliances that were placed for 12 months and allowed the teeth to be repositioned in their natural position.
