Gap between teeth
When the maxillary or mandibular bones are larger than the size of the teeth, an effect is usually produced in which spaces or gaps appear between the teeth. These spaces generate impaction of food and discomfort when chewing.
The solution is through an orthodontic treatment in which devices such as brackets or invisalign are placed to correct dental malposition in a predictable way.
Before and after treatment
A 38-year-old patient who reported chewing difficulties, food impaction between the teeth and an uncomfortable bite. After the 18-month treatment, we observed the resolution of the malocclusion satisfactorily, eliminating the problems mentioned above.
