Crowded teeth is an issue that affects a large part of the population and causes aesthetic and functional problems. Patients with dental crowding usually have masticatory difficulties and limitations in the hygiene of the teeth due to the difficulty reaching the dental surfaces that are crowded together. That is why these patients usually present a higher risk of tooth decay and gum disease, as well as uneven tooth wear.
The appearance of increasingly invisible orthodontic appliances, as in the case of aesthetic braces, allows correcting dental overcrowding and facilitates both dental hygiene and masticatory function.
A 15-year-old patient, whose reason for consultation was the issue of crowded teeth. To correct this, we used state-of-the-art aesthetic braces to resolve functional and aesthetic malocclusion during 18 months of treatment. The treatment assured the elimination of an aesthetic problem of the patient.
